easter holidays

Today I'm staying at home to study. I really should have studied more these holidays, since I'm behind in so many textbook chapters and readings, and I have a few assignments due. Oh well, no regrets ♥

There's been so many things this week I want to blog about. Lots of pictures coming up!

During Easter long weekend I went to Cairns with my family (my mum loves planning these things for almost every holiday) and it was awesome. It's taken me ages to bluetooth all my phone pictures one-by-one to my macbook (frustrating conclusion to a story involving the installation minidisc getting stuck in the slot drive), but it's all good now : )
Cairns was warm, pretty and quiet.

Empty streets, pink skies

Changing footpath light colours

Walking around at night

Swimming lagoon paradise

Playground fun with J

Scuba diving! Totally unreal!

HOT. AIR. BALLOONING. at 4am in the morning.

My favourite fruit in the whole entire world : D

Crepes to DIE for - I had one every day.

I forgot to take a picture of my hotel room! It was one of the nicest I've ever been in. The hotel was courtyard style, with a pool in the middle and two storeys of rooms around it. It was really, really nice.

Cairns is actually a small town, only consisting of about 3 main roads where you can find everything you need. The surrounding ocean, rainforests and even the local aborigine community are completely milked for all their tourism worth, but there was genuine natural beauty and culture all around.

I had such a jam-packed fun start to my holidays! Hope you did too!

Happy Easter : )
